Kristian Kristiansen new CEO of Dymak
On October 1, 2024, Claus Bøgelund, founder and CEO of Dymak A/S, will hand over the company’s daily management to Kristian Kristiansen. Kristian has been a key figure at Dymak since 2007 and has served as Commercial Director for the past five years.
Over the past two years, Dymak has made significant investments to strengthen its market
position in the horticulture and garden center sectors. These investments include implementing a global IT system to meet growing customer demands and enhance transparency across the supply chain. With these advancements, Dymak is ready to enter a new growth phase with a sharpened commercial focus.
“I have carefully planned this leadership transition over several years, and with the many
strategic initiatives we’ve launched, I believe now is the right time to pass the responsibility to Kristian,” says Claus Bøgelund. He continues: “With Kristian’s deep commercial expertise,
respected profile, and strong relationships with both our customers and global team, he is the right person to lead Dymak forward. I have full confidence that, together with our talented
employees, he will continue to lead the company to new heights.”
Kristian Kristiansen expresses his excitement about his new role: “I am grateful for the trust Claus has shown in me, and I approach this responsibility with humility and eagerness. My focus will be to continue the vital initiatives we’ve already set in motion, and collectively with my colleagues, I will strengthen Dymak’s position as the preferred provider of private-label solutions for garden retailers and nurseries worldwide. We have deeply embedded our growth journey into our DNA over the past few years, and I am eager to continue building on it.”
The investments made over the past two years, along with large customer
inventories and global supply chain challenges led to the company reporting its first-ever loss of 8 million kroner in the 2023/24 fiscal year. This result is unsatisfactory but remains an isolated incident,’ explains Claus Bøgelund.” He adds, “With a strong pipeline already 50% stronger than last year, we expect better results in 2024/25.”
Claus Bøgelund will remain on Dymak’s board, focusing on driving the company’s strategic
development and advise Kristian and the management team. He will also oversee the
completion of Dymak’s new headquarters in Odense, which embodies the company’s core
purpose of “a good day at work.” The new office will play a key role in shaping how Dymak
operates internally and in its customer relations.
